Lili tuver na dhekra or pegion peas petties is a traditional Gujarati snack made from Green pigeon pea different types of flavours and few spices it specially made in winter when you will get the best and good quality fresh pigeon Peas in the market the entire process of the recipe is very similar to Gujarati khichu. this recipe comes from Gujarati Anavil Brahmin community. many people call it dhekhra or dhekra. do try this crispy dhekra ,vada or petties with spicy green chutney and tomato ketchup.

Ingredients & Written Recipe :
150 gram Fresh pegion peas
water as needed
salt to taste
Pinch of turmeric powder
2.5 Cup water
1 cup rice flour
1 cup juvar flour
1/2 cup millet flour
salt to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
3 tbsp sesame seeds
5 - 6 green chilli
small piece of Ginger
4 to 5 garlic cloves (if you want)
4 tbsp jaggery
finely chopped fresh coriander
2 tbsp oil
oil for frying
#Try to use fresh pigeon Peas to make this recipe , divided pigeon Peas into two part
# Take half pigeon Peas in pressure cooker add 2-3 tbsp water then add salt and turmeric powder mix it well and make 1 whistle on medium flame after one whistle open the cooker and check the pigeon peas now let it cool.
# Take veggie Chopper add remaining pigeon peas , green chilli and Ginger , grind it coarsely.
# Heat up heavy bottom Pan add 2.5 Cup water , now add salt , turmeric powder , sesame seeds . grinded pigeon Peas , boiled pigeon peas , chopped coriander leaves , jaggery and oil .
# Boil for 1 minute after 1 minute add all flour , mix it on slow flame using spatula or rolling pin.
# Now cover and cook it on slow flame for 5 minutes after 5 minutes switch off the flame and mix it very well let it cool completely.
#Take some oil and knead this minutes very well take small portion from this minutes and make vada like this .
# Heat up oil when oil is hot add prepared vada , fry it on medium flame.
# Fry this vada until golden brown & crispy.
# You can store this vada up to 3 days.
