Rava dosa is a popular variety of instant dosa that are thin, crisp and netted. To make rava dosa or suji dosa is easy as no blending of the batter or fermentation is required. The batter is made from semolina, onions, water, spices and herbs.

Rava dosa is an easy, instant dosa recipe that you can whip up quickly for breakfast as well as for evening snacks.

Here I make the batter with water. But you can even add curd or buttermilk instead of water in the batter. Nuts like chopped cashews also taste good.

Use a well seasoned cast iron skillet or tawa to make rava dosa so that the dosa does not stick to the tawa. Make sure that the skillet or tawa is hot when you pour the batter.
